Carolyn Waudby: I'm Carolyn. I spend a great deal of my life in cafes as a writer and observer of life, and so have come to love cafe culture. Cafes have always been important to writers and thinkers - whether Hemingway, Sartre or de Beauvoir in Paris, or Dr. Johnson in the coffee houses of London. I fund my tea and cake habit through writing and teaching. Travel and literature are important parts of my life, and the blog attempts to bring together the things that make me tick.
